.....states that there is 95% certainty climate change is man made.
people are still saying we don't need to do anything about it.. if you were told there is a 95% risk of you dying if you don't change your diet, wouldn't you change your diet?.
not exactly on topic, but, from one ex-JW to others, to those of you in the "this is really a big problem" camp....
How do you stay concerned about the issue without becoming terrified and paralyzed by it? Is climate change playing out into an apocalyptic scenario? Like, are we all gonna starve or die in massive hurricanes?
since you are learning or have learned the truth about the truth, how are you handling things?

i recently broke up with my girlfriend of four years.. she is 40 years old, with health problems, financial problems, little family/friend support, and facing an uncertain future.
i gave her some money.. the guilt i am experiencing right now is absolutely anguishing.
she had very, very high hopes about our relationship and loved me very deeply.

watchin the season premier of south park, something i don't normally do but just happened to catch and glad i did.
they totally had two jw women go to one of the characters "butters" house and gave him a magazine about some sort of destruction scene that was on the cover representing armageddon.
yet again showing that the ancient pagen name of hovah they worship really does live up to the name defined as ruin according to strongs 1943. wife and i laughed our butts off... even the world knows how the "wbtsociety" is so fear focused on destruction rather than the real love that our savior said should be our true walk and focus... .
They should have put "you're gonna die at armageddon if you don't join us!" across the back and have the JW woman say something about how armageddon is coming and god's gonna destroy everyone except JWs.

Yeah saw that. Was pretty funny, but, the writers apparently didn't do much research as the tract that the JW woman hands to Butters has HELL IS WAITING printed on the back.

...in an ideal world...maybe...but, not everybody has it in them to lead great independent lives. Considering where she came from, i'd say she's done 'ight.

We had an email exchange. She misses me so much. She's glad I'm in therapy. She was hoping that i'd be hers forever. Everything reminds her of me, etc.
She writes very well, and the words were so sincere and heartfelt. It's that last email she sent me that put me into this hell of guilt and second-guessing that i've been in ever since.

Lisarose, why is that such an unhealthy dynamic? She's a lonely girl, not the most savvy person, trying to make it in the big city. She needs help! Again, it's a nasty world.
